Is it free?
Yes. Every converter works without an account, with a daily limit for each network. A free Snip account takes larger files and keeps them for good.
What happens to my files?
A file dropped on a converter is kept for a day so you can download the result, then deleted with everything made from it. Nobody sees it unless you share its link.
Can I convert from code or an AI assistant?
Yes. curl -T photo.heic https://snip.link answers with a short link; add the ending you want, .jpg, .pdf, .md or .json, and that is the file in that format. The REST API and the MCP server do the same.
What if my conversion is not listed?
Share the file on the drop page: the result shows the formats it converts to, and each one is the short link with that ending.
