Web page to Markdown

Paste a web page's address and get its article as clean Markdown: the words, headings, links and tables, without menus, ads or cookie banners.

How it works

web page to .md

  1. 01

Paste the address. Any public page: an article, a docs page, a product page.

  2. 02

It is saved once. Loaded in a real browser and kept at a short link.

  3. 03

Download or copy it. The Markdown now, and every other format from the same link.

What carries over

Public pages only: pages behind a sign-in cannot be loaded, and pages that ask not to be archived are skipped. Very long pages are cut at 12,000 pixels.

Questions

About Web page to Markdown.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up: 10 pages a day from each network. A free Snip account saves 50 a day and keeps every page for good.

What happens to my file?

The page is loaded once in a real browser and saved at a short link, so the result stays the same if the page changes later. Delete it any time from a free account.

Can I convert from code or an AI assistant?

Yes. Add .md to any Snip short link, or use the REST API's capture option and the MCP server's save_page tool.

Do I get the other formats too?

Yes. The page is saved once at a short link, and that link answers in every format: .md, .txt, .pdf and .jpg, whichever you ask for next.
