PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or SVG up to 5 MB. It stays in your browser.

Fill in the form and your code appears here.

How it works

What you type is not uploaded. The code you download holds your content and needs no service to work.

  1. 01

Pick what it opens. A link, plain text, a Wi-Fi network, a contact card, an email, a text message, a phone call or a place on the map.

  2. 02

Fill in the form. The code updates as you type. The text under the preview shows exactly what goes into the pattern.

  3. 03

Style and download. Choose colours, dots and an optional logo, then save a PNG for screens or an SVG for print. Scan it with your phone before you print.

Questions

About these QR codes.

The longer answers are in the static vs dynamic guide and the QR code FAQ.

Is there a free QR code generator that never expires?

Yes, this one. Static QR codes made here are free and unlimited, with no account and no sign-up. They never expire, because your link or text is stored in the pattern itself with nothing in between. Download PNG or SVG with your colours, dot style and an optional logo.

Do Snip QR codes expire?

No. A static code from this page keeps working for as long as what it holds is valid, such as the web page it opens. A code made from a Snip short link works while the link is switched on, and links on the free plan keep redirecting.

Do I need an account?

No. Make, style and download as many static codes as you like without one. An account only matters for short links you want to keep, edit after printing or count scans on, and it is free.

Can ChatGPT or Claude make a QR code?

Yes, once you add the free Snip connector at https://snip.link/mcp. In Claude: Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector. Name it Snip, paste https://snip.link/mcp as the URL, and leave sign-in off. In ChatGPT: Turn on developer mode (Settings > Security and login > Developer mode), then add a connector with the URL https://snip.link/mcp and no authentication. Then ask for a QR code and the reply links a PNG and an SVG. Cursor and Claude Code are on the MCP server page.

Can I add a logo?

Yes. Pick an image under the colours and it sits in the centre of the code. The logo stays in your browser. With a logo the code switches to High error correction so it still scans; test it with your phone before printing.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static code holds your content directly. A dynamic code holds a short link that forwards each scan to your page, so you can change the destination and count scans after printing. The guide covers both.

Is what I type sent to a server?

No. The code is drawn in your browser, on your device. Links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and logos are not uploaded.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG for screens, documents and slides: it is 1024 pixels square. SVG for print and signage: it scales to any size without blurring, and print shops prefer it.
