Guests scan and join your network without typing the password. Free, no sign-up, and the code never expires. It is drawn in your browser, so the password is never uploaded.

Center artwork Optional

PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or SVG. Up to 5 MB.

Free to use. Your artwork stays in this browser.

Enter the network name.

How it works

What you type is not uploaded. The code you download holds your content and needs no service to work.

  1. 01

Enter the network. Type the network name exactly as your router shows it, capitals included, and pick the security: WPA covers WPA2 and WPA3.

  2. 02

Add the password. Leave it out only for an open network. Tick Hidden network if yours does not broadcast its name.

  3. 03

Print it where guests look. Download an SVG or PDF for print, or a PNG for a screen. A frame that says Scan to join Wi-Fi tells people what it is for.

Good to know

  • Use a guest network

Anyone who sees the code can join. Point it at a guest network rather than the one your own devices share.

  • New password, new code

The password is inside the code itself, so after you change it, make and print a new code.

  • Symbols are handled

Semicolons, commas, colons and backslashes in the name or password are escaped for you, so the code reads them correctly.

Questions

About Wi-Fi QR codes.

The longer answers are in the static vs dynamic guide and the QR code FAQ.

How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?

It holds the network name, the security type and the password in the standard format phone cameras read. Scanning offers to join the network, so nobody types the password.

Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?

It is as safe as writing the password on a card: anyone who scans it can join. The code is made in your browser and never sent to us. Use a guest network for codes on public display.

Why does my phone not join?

Check that the network name matches exactly, capitals and spaces included, that the security type is right, and that Hidden network is ticked only for a hidden network. Then make the code again.

Can I count how many people scanned it?

No. A Wi-Fi code goes straight to the phone and never touches a server, so there is nothing to count. Scan counts are for Snip short links.
