How it works

.ppt to .pptx

  1. 01

Drop the file. Or paste it, or choose it. PPT files only on this page.

  2. 02

It converts on the spot. A few seconds for most files; a large one takes a little longer.

  3. 03

Download or copy it. Or share the link: it opens the PPTX for a day.

What carries over

The same deck in the current PowerPoint format: slides, text and pictures carry over.

Questions

About PPT to PPTX.

Share any file

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up: files up to 50 MB, 10 a day from each network. A free Snip account takes files up to 100 MB and keeps them for good.

What happens to my file?

It is kept for a day so you can download the result, then deleted with everything made from it. Nobody sees it unless you share its link.

Can I convert from code or an AI assistant?

Yes. curl -T file.ppt https://snip.link answers with a short link; add .pptx to it for the PPTX. The REST API and the MCP server's drop_file tool do the same.

Can I share the PPTX?

Yes. Copy its link: it opens the PPTX in any browser for a day. With a free account, files and their links stay as long as you keep them.
